We Might Have Just Found Our New Favourite Aesthetic Clinic
The Epion Clinic gets full marks from us for experience, style, design and efficacy.

In our almost decade of experience in the beauty industry, we've probably visited over a 100 aesthetic clinics. Despite that, the Epion Clinic truly impressed us.
Located in a gorgeously restored conservation shophouse at the iconic Tudor Court along Tanglin road, the clinic is near enough Orchard road to be accessible yet far enough to give you privacy. With art deco inspiration and modern touches, the interior of the Epion Clinic feels less like a medical facility but more like an uber elegant, luxurious home.
After signing in, I am brought to a room to get my pre-treatment photo taken by the friendly nurses. Epion uses a Quantificare Lifeviz Infinity clinical imaging system (said to be the first in Singapore) which combines face, body and skin analysis into one function. The camera does a 3D skin analysis of wrinkles, pores, pigmentation, redness and facial contours. Another plus, it can also create simulations of the results you can achieve from the different treatments.
I am then brought to a consultation room to meet with founder and medical director Dr Melvin Tan for comprehensive medical assessment to review my face and skin on three levels: cellular, anatomical and geometric proportions. While doctors can occasionally be intimidating (after all, it’s never easy to hear someone cataloguing all your facial flaws) Dr Tan was professional, helpful and above all, kind. Throughout the consultation, I never felt pressured into doing a treatment or made to feel bad about how I looked.
After our chat, I proceeded to the treatment room to start my facial. The Epion Star is one of the clinic’s signature treatments and includes three parts. The first is the FDA-approved Sciton Skintyte 2, which uses infrared light technology to increase collagen and elastin production to help tighten and firm skin for a more V-shape face.
The second portion is the Hydrafacial, which helps to exfoliate and hydrate skin at the same time. Beyonce and Charlize Theron are said to be big fans of it, while George Clooney is reported to have his own Hydrafacial in this home. The last part of the treatment is the 24K Gold revitalising mask, which nourishes, soothes and hydrates skin.
After the pampering treatment ended, the nurse held up a mirror to show me how I looked. While most facials tend to leave my complexion a little sensitive and red, this gave me a dewy glow and a more contoured jawline. It’s been about a week since I did the Epion Star and the results are showing no sign of subsiding and with the exception of my undereye concealer, I’ve even managed to skip makeup on my skin. You really can’t ask for much more than that.
The Epion Clinic is located at 145 Tanglin Road, Tudor Court (tel: 6732 2122).
