The Treatment

This 90-minute massage begins with a brief consultation to help my therapist choose an oil suitable for my specific needs. There are seven to choose from: Detoxifier, De-Stresser, Muscle Relaxer, Jet-Lag Reviver, Immune Booster, Energiser and Body Toner. After discerning that I was suffering from body aches, I was recommended the Muscle Relaxer oil to help warm and loosen up tightness in the body. The massage uses a mixture of soothing strokes and firm kneading that quickly put me to sleep. The finishing touch of the treatment is a head massage using the Espa Pink Hair and Scalp Mud, which has mineral-rich red clay and apricot kernel oil to nourish skin and strengthen hair strands.

The Verdict

This strikes the perfect balance between a relaxing and deep tissue massage. The treatment was calming and helped me unwind, while my muscles felt significantly less stiff. I especially loved the head portion as it not only helped to relieve my headache, but also left my scalp healthier.
