There have been several new moves in the creative roles at beauty houses of late, including the announcement of Lucia Pica's new gig at Byredo.

Meanwhile, with award season moving into high gear right now (the Oscars are just a week away on March 28 and the Grammys will take place the week after that), we zoom in on some of the red carpet makeup looks that have caught our attention from recent award shows.

After six years at Chanel as the official global creative makeup and colour designer, Lucia Pica begins a new chapter at Byredo, taking over from Isamaya Ffrench. In her new role as the brand's creative image and makeup partner, Pica will continue to build on the success of the brand's makeup line with her extensive decades-long experience in beauty and fashion as well as her unique eye for making radical colours wearable. She will also be collaborating with Byredo's founder and creative director Ben Gorham in product development and to enhance the makeup line's visual universe and its relationship with those who wear it – stay tuned to her first presentation with Byredo come this Autumn 2022.

Dubbed Acqua di Gio Eau De Parfum, this woody and aquatic scent boasts a sparkling bouquet of green mandarin from Calambria, clary sage heart from Provence, sparkling vetiver heart from Haiti blended with lavandin, geranium bourbon heart, patchouli and cedarwood.
