The new Hermes Plein Air Luminous matte skincare foundation has a 71% natural origin formula.
By Rachel Yohannan,
We’ve been loving the Hermes Plein Air makeup collection ever since it debuted in 2022, and a brand new base product is finally joining the family. Breezing in as light as air comes the Hermes Plein Air Luminous matte skincare foundation ($205) – the first-ever foundation under the Parisian luxury label’s beauty arm, designed by Creative Director Gregoris Pyrpylis.
First things first: The Hermes Plein Air Luminous matte skincare foundation is chockfull of gentle, skin-loving goodness, and we’re already sold on that aspect alone. To be exact? 71% of its ingredients are of natural origin. Niacinamide, pure hyaluronic acid, and white mulberry extract work together to nourish, hydrate, and shield the skin from external stressors – all while creating a breathable, buildable finish that looks effortlessly radiant and fresh.
It’s as inclusive as it gets, with a plethora of 34 shades sub-categorised into five colour intensities, and three undertones of cool, warm, and neutral. The gentle oxidation-free formula stays true to bottle, and is also suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
And then there’s the bottle itself – simple, chic, and partially frosted, with the Hermes ex-libris stamped in gold on the cap.
Lightly blend the foundation onto your face with your fingers for a soft look, or use Hermes’ artist-inspired gold palette and flexible tip applicator ($355) to easily mix shades and apply with more precision.
The Hermes Plein Air Luminous matte skincare foundation is available in Singapore at all Hermes boutiques (except at Changi Airport) as well as online.
