By MOH SHUYING,
If you’ve read a few of my skincare articles, then you’ll probably know I am a facial mask fanatic. I take time out to apply one every day, even when I’m travelling. So obviously when I found out about Innisfree’s new collection of clay masks that was created to specifically for multi-masking.
The Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask range features seven different masks designed to address various skin concerns. While they can be used alone, the masks were created to give you a customised treatment by applying the different variations, each with a specific function, onto different parts of your face at the same time.
All masks contain volcanic scoria from Jeju, the key ingredient found in the brand’s best-selling Jeju Volcanic Line, which helps to absorb sebum and impurities to brighten and clarify the skin tone. The clay masks come in three different textures: Watery Gel Clay, Cream Clay, and Transforming Clay.
The Water Gel Clays are moisture-enriched masks that dry quickly and should be applied thinly onto the face. The Cream Clays are creamy and do not leave the skin feeling tight or dehydrated. The Transforming Clay is a mask pack that foams into a lather upon contact with water and performs the dual function of masking as well as cleansing.
There are several ways to use the different masks. If you’re out in the sun or doing sports, try the Black Purifying mask on your T-zone and chin, the purple Calming mask on your upper cheeks, which is prone to sensitivity, and the blue Hydrating mask on your lower cheeks. For an extra radiance, try this combo: pink Vitalizing on the T-zone, yellow Brightening on the under eye area and chin, and white Refining on the cheeks. To battle fatigue, use the white Refining mask on your T-zone, the pink Vitalizing mask on your under eye area and cheeks, and the sebum-controlling green Cica on your chin.
