Swipe it, blend it, go! We tried Nars’ The Multiple Blush and this is our honest review.

First introduced in 1996 by François Nars, the legendary French makeup artist, photographer, and founder of the NARS Cosmetics brand, The Multiple is designed to be used across cheeks, lips, and eyes. Now, 29 years later, we’re seeing the retun of The Multiple in so many good ways, with an upgraded formula and a cool line-up of 12 vibrant, versatile shades.

ABOUT THE MULTIPLE STICK

Created as a beauty essential from a magazine photo shoot, François used only one lipstick colour for the lips, cheeks, and eyes, and created a stunning monochromatic look on supermodel Carolyn Murphy, starting a phenomenon around effortless artistry. With just one glide, you would find many ways to use the original multipurpose makeup stick.

HOW THE MULTIPLE BLUSH PERFORMS

The colour I am trying on is Dolce Vita. I liked how smooth the application is; with just one glide across my cheeks, I get an intense colour that is blendable. Using my sponge blender, I blended the colour across my cheekbones for a natural finish. You may also dab a bit on your nose bridge for that sun-kissed, natural look we all love. Another tip is to use your eyeshadow brush and with just one swipe, you can transfer the colour pigments to your eyelids for that beautiful eyeshadow colour. Yes, it’s that multi-purpose.

As I go about my day, I find that the colour tends to fade towards the end of my activities. There’s still a light tint but the intensity has faded. But do note that I’ve been dabbing my face with blotting papers to rid of sweat, so the colour may have waned off. Still, it performs relatively well in controlled environments such as the air-conditioned offices and malls here in our little red dot.
