Beauty Review: Shiseido Professional's Singapore Hair Colours Service
Give dull, flat-looking hair a boost with this new hair colouring service by Shiseido Professional.
By ISABEL ONG,
Shiseido Professional's Singapore Hair Colours Service is a customisable dye programme that uses the brand’s Primience colourants. Each is dual coloured, and is made up of a yellow brown base to flatter Asian skin tone, and dye that gives more depth, so hair appears darker in dim conditions and brighter under sunlight.
My choice: ashy brown, and I prefer the effect to be subtle with no bleaching. Three different dyes in varying colour intensity are applied onto three sections – top, middle and bottom – with the lightest shade on ends to create more “movement”.
The entire process takes about two hours, but I love the results. The colour is so natural that I don’t have to retouch my roots when hair grows out. The technique delivers what it promises: My tresses are light brown under strong light and a darker chestnut indoors. The compliments haven’t stopped coming. From $100 (price varies with hair length), Shunji Matsuo Hair Studio (#05-23 Ngee Ann City Tower B, tel: 6238-1522).
An adapted version first appeared in Female's August issue, out on newsstands now.
