Shu Uemura Launches Playful Sonny Angel-Themed Makeup For The Festive Season
This limited-edition collection includes eye palettes, lippies, and a new series of blind box figurines.
Sonny Angel fans, there’s a new series of collectibles that you should add to your ever-growing collection – and this time, it’s makeup. For this year’s Holiday 2026 collection, Shu Uemura presents a collection of eye palettes, lippies, cheek duos, and cleansing oil, all inspired by the beloved angel character.

Here are the five Sonny Angel characters from the collaboration with Shu Uemura, Artsy Peacock, Lava Fox, Zen Deer, Solar Tanuki, and Shu-shu Monkey respectively.
As part of this collaboration, Sonny Angel has also released a limited-edition Makeup Baby blind box series, which depicts Sonny Angel as five animal spirits with Shu Uemura: Artsy Peacock, Lava Fox, Zen Deer, Solar Tanuki, and Shu-shu Monkey. The makeup collection is designed after these five characters’ personalities and colour schemes.
Shu Uemura x Sonny Angel eyeshadow palettes
Shu Uemura channels the colours of the new Sonny Angel figurines with their Dazzline Dimensions Palette ($156), which features a 3D-embossed Artsy Peacock design and metallic kiss mark on its packaging, and Sonny Angel motifs stamped on its nine eyeshadow shades. Want a playful and bright look like the cheerful Solar Tanuki? Check out the radiant yellows and peach shades. If you want a more subdued, quiet but confident look like the Zen Deer, use the icy shimmery blue.
If you’re looking for something neutral and versatile, check out the smaller Take Wing Palette ($78). The six complementary shades of soft mattes and pearlescent tones are enclosed in a chic case with the same Artsy Peacock on the cover.
Shu Uemura x Sonny Angel blush highlighter duos
Inspired by the morning and evening sky, this collection also includes two duo palettes with a blush and highlighter each. To mimic the cool hues of the sky at dawn, the Face Duo Pastel Dawn ($55), featuring Zen Deer on its cover, has a sheer blue highlighter and a lilac blush. On the other hand, the Face Duo Blush Dusk ($55) is all about golden sunset colours, with the Lava Fox-imbued case containing a rosy warm blush and shimmery gold highlight.
Shu Uemura x Sonny Angel lipsticks
There are also five new lippies, each one inspired by a different Sonny Angel spirit. Adorned Kiss ($56) is a matte berry-hued lipstick with pink glitter, with an Artsy Peacock design engraved on its bullet.
Shu Uemura’s vivid Kinu Care Glow Up ($56) lippie is also back with two new shades, with a Shu-shu Monkey motif on the cover of the Pink Sunrise variant, and a Lava Fox design for Muted Horizon. It’s infused with 74% lip-caring essence for extra hydration.
For even more lip care, see the two new limited-edition holiday shades of Kinu Care CC Oil ($56), with a formula that helps plump and hydrate the lips while offering a glittery shine. Sunny Shimmer captures the whimsical energy of Golden Tanuki in sheer yellow, and Sapphire Night offers a softer blue that brings out Zen Deer’s cool composure.

Besides makeup, Shu Uemura’s iconic Ultime8 Sublime Tsubaki Cleansing Oil is also sporting a new character-themed look in the 150ml ($86) and 450ml ($183) sizes. There is also the Spirit Brush Kit ($95), where four makeup brushes come in a glittery pouch featuring all five Sonny Angel spirits.
