South Korean Actress Song Hye Kyo On Skin Ageing, Her Must-Have Products And More

Brand ambassador of Sulwhasoo Song Hye Kyo was recently here in town to celebrate the launch of the brand's all-new range, the Bloomstay Vitalizing Line — powered by antioxidant-rich green plum blossom to protect and prevent skin ageing. We caught up with Song who shared her beauty tips and more.

The products she has been using on the daily

Song Hye Kyo (SHK): "I really love Sulwhasoo's First Care Activating Serum. I use it every day and I personally feel that it has helped improve and maintain my skin's condition. These days, I have been really busy so my skin gets a little dry and I have been using the Bloomstay Vitalizing Line. I especially love the serum, which goes on like honey but absorbs really quickly. I apply a thicker amount at night and when I wake up my skin looks and feels better.

On maintaining her skin's condition even with a busy schedule

SHK: "Since my schedule is very busy and as I’m not completely young anymore, I’m trying to take better care of my skin. One thing I do all the time is applying a mask every day. I like the Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Creamy Mask, which I do bring along whenever I am travelling or at home. I also keep in mind to get some exercise and I do book myself in for treatments at aesthetic clinics."

Her thoughts on skin ageing

SHK: "I’ve been told if u take care of your skin when you’re in your 20s, it will show in your 30s. So in my early 30s, I really tried to make my skincare regime more effective. Having sufficient rest is also really important to ensure my skin condition is good. Plus, daily masking does help me achieve plump, radiant skin."

On looking ageless

SHK: "I feel that it is very important to moisturise my skin and that is what I always concentrate on. It is a simple step but the benefits of it are aplenty. I also really enjoy using the brand’s products cause it helps to revitalise my dull, tired complexions."
