Dior has tapped the creativity and expertise of Japanese floral artist Azuma Makoto (pictured) to bring eight flora-infused scents from its high-end La Collection Privee line – Sakura, Gris Dior, Lucky, La Colle Noire, Jasmin Des Anges, Oud Ispahan, Oud Rosewood and Purple Oud – to life through a sensorial experience. Working out of his Tokyo studio, the master florist capture and interpret the life cycles of the flowers that make up the fragrances in the form of sculptures – which are immortalised in a series of short films and photographs.

City of Stars, Louis Vuitton's newest unisex cologne, captures the evening glamour of Hollywood in a bottle. Created by the Maison's master perfumer Jacques Cavalier Belletrud, the scent is an electrifying citrus blend of blood orange, red mandarin, bergamot and lime mixed with Tiare flower and sandalwood. The bottle is designed in collaboration with Los Angeles artist Alex Israel who had created an original artwork on the packaging of the fragrance to depict the sunset-soaked skyline of the City of Lights.

In time for the big return of chromatic shades in makeup this year, MAC Cosmetics has launched a total of five The Art Of Colour palettes centred around statement-making hues like red, pink, nude, coral and purple.
