Dior Makeup’s creative and image director Peter Philips says tinted lip balms are the way to go now. Ahead, he breaks down why they are something every woman needs.
“I asked myself, ‘What do women expect from makeup now that they have to wear masks?’ We could add more skincare benefits, but I know there are women who still like to have colour on their lips and the feel of a lipstick. The pandemic forced us to think differently and use our expertise to develop products that will fulfil the desires of women who love beauty.”
“At Dior, we were already infusing more care elements into our makeup. This gave us a big base of research on skincare ingredients to draw on. We had already been working on the Rouge Dior Natural Balms (pictured) – the pandemic just turned it into a priority.”
