If you've been keeping up with the red carpet looks for the Cannes Film Festival, you'd probably have seen Bella Hadid in a Alexandre Vaulthier gown with a slit that was slashed to her hips. And while her look might be a little too racy for a wedding, we think the thigh-high slit is a great bridal look. Here's why.
#1 They're easy to move around in
Unlike mermaids, a slit lets you have more room to move so you'll be breezing through the day, while still keeping that curve-hugging silhouette.
#2 Show off your shoes

Unless you're doing it like Hadid of course. A slit that comes up to your mid-thigh is a safe and elegant way to show off toned gams.

Especially for an outdoor wedding, big skirts can get hot and cumbersome. Remedy it with a flowing dress with a slit skirt.
