With the recent viral debuts of Korean girl groups like Unchild and Saint Satine, diehard K-pop fans never find themselves short on new groups to stan. Now, coming hot on the heels of both these breakouts is a new K-pop girl group that’s debuting under Hybe’s new label, ABD – here’s what we know about them so far.

What is ABD?

By now, most of us would already be familiar with Hybe – the multi-label agency famed for producing some of the most popular K-pop groups of our generation, from the likes of BTS, NewJeans and most recently, Katseye. Just a week ago, Hybe unveiled ABD as its newest subsidiary label and it’s gearing up to debut its first-ever girl group.

ABD, which stands for “A Bold Dream”, is a new sub-label under Hybe which specialises in girl groups. It’s overseen by Han Sung Soo, an executive producer who has worked with prominent K-pop groups like Seventeen and Iz*one.

Who are the members of ABD’s new K-pop girl group?

Despite Hybe’s many new groups, the hype for this one is real mainly for one reason. As seen in ABD’s teaser videos, 18-year-old Park Seo Yeon – the youngest sister of Twice’s Jihyo – is set to debut in this group. While the number of members is currently unconfirmed, two other fresh faces have also appeared alongside her in the label’s playful promotional videos. In it, the girls are seen sporting minimalistic ‘90s-inspired apparel that give off a youthful vibe.

When will ABD’s new group debut?

While the exact date is still under wraps, ABD’s first girl group is expected to debut sometime in the second half of 2026.

In the meantime, you can follow up with ABD’s website for official updates – it features colourful bubble typography, ever-changing illustrated mouse cursors and even a mini game that allows you to inflate and pop balloons. It’s a fun, interactive site that tells you everything you need to expect regarding the new group’s aesthetic.
