Vinyl Collective Avant Culture Club Finally Opens Its First Physical Store
Vinyl lovers rejoice, the beloved record purveyor ACC lands a brick-and-mortar space at 195 Pearl’s Hill Terrace.

From digital crates and pop-ups, Avant Culture Club (ACC) finally goes IRL. After building a loyal following online and through a series of buzzy pop-ups that brought back accessible vinyl-listening, ACC is officially opening its first permanent retail location. Known for its curated, multigenre selections of pop, R&B, indie, hiphop and even movie soundtracks – ACC is now opening a physical space where collectors and curious newcomers alike can go crate digging in person.
Founded in 2020 by 30-year-old Ryan Ling and 31-year-old Ivan Ong, ACC first began as a humble community-driven Carousell account that organised shared group orders to help fans save on shipping costs for artiste merchandise and exclusive record imports. What started as a practical solution for collectors quickly evolved into something much bigger. Six years on, ACC has grown into a full-fledged vinyl bodega, stocking records, CDs and rarities. The brand has carved out a niche for sourcing one-of-a-kind vinyl variants, limited-edition artiste collectibles and even rare signed pieces – the kind of finds that don’t stay on the shelf for long.
ACC is far more than your average vinyl shop. The collective has built its identity through thoughtfully-curated, themed pop-ups staged across Singapore – each one transforming record shopping into an immersive experience. Its most recent outing, Motel Avant at Boutiques Fair Singapore in late 2025, reimagined the booth as a retro hotel-inspired escape. The hybrid concept booth functioned as both a record store and listening lounge, wrapped in mid-century modern nostalgia. Visitors were invited to browse their picks before settling in with one of 12 Audio-Technica Sound Burger portable turntables, turning crate-digging into a full sensory moment.
Earlier in March 2025, their pop-up booth, dubbed The Pleasures Lounge, also brought a similar energy – pairing an artisanal matcha bar by Kyo Kohee with a vinyl listening space. Functioning as a listening booth, retail space and pop-culture vignette all in one, ACC’s pop-ups consistently blur the line between retail and experience – creating spaces where music isn’t just sold, but felt.
Now, the homegrown collective is translating its signature energy into a permanent address. Nestled within the creative enclave of Pearl’s Hill Terrace, ACC’s first brick-and-mortar store is slated for a soft launch on February 21, 2026 at exactly 3:01pm (oddly specific – but very on brand). The space leans minimal and clean, anchored by metallic chrome shelving and custom carpentry details.
A sneak peek on Tiktok reveals a DIY vinyl flip bin – built by the founders from scratch for under $100 – capable of housing up to 250 records. Replacing a typical window, an ellipse-shaped peephole adds a playful architectural touch, and a wall-mounted Bang & Olufsen Beosound 9000 CD player that doubles as both sound system and sculptural centrepiece. Details are under wraps for now, but if ACC’s past pop-ups are anything to go by, trust that the physical store won’t just be a place to shop – it’ll be a space to linger, listen and discover.
