Demna Gvasalia rocks the fashion world again – this time with a special screening of The Simpsons during the Balenciaga show.
Demna Gvasalia gave new meaning to the term 'fashion film' over the weekend when he turned the Balenciaga Summer 2022 show at Paris Fashion Week into the premiere of a special episode of The Simpsons chez Balenciaga.
The screening was the climax of the night, which had earlier seen VIPs and the fashion press rubbing shoulders with the show's models on the red carpet while posing for the paparazzi – the models sat down with the other guests for the viewing at Theatre du Chatele.
Cardi B were among the guests at the Balenciaga Summer 2022 Red Carpet show.
The plot of the 10-minute show centres around Homer, Marge et al leaving Springfield for the City of Lights to be part of a Balenciaga show (meta much?). Besides the Simpsons family, other cast members also make their cameo on the runway: among them Selma and Mr Smithers, who will make jaws drop in a red off-shoulder dress.
