BTS is back, and they’re booked and busy. This morning, Netflix made two major announcements: BTS’ upcoming comeback will be livestreamed on Netflix on March 21, 7pm (SGT), and that BTS is getting a documentary about the making of this album on March 27, 2026. Basically: your March is about to be full of BTS. Here’s everything we know.
BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG LIVESTREAM
If you haven’t heard (and how haven’t you?): BTS is making their musical comeback after two years of serving the military. Titled Arirang, their upcoming album will be dropping on March 21, 12pm (SGT) and will feature 12 tracks.
To commemorate this much anticipated return, Netflix has partnered with Hybe to bring the boys back onto the stage. Specifically, live from the historic Gwanghwamun in Seoul, South Korea (the main gate of the historic palace, Gyeongbokgung), available for livestreaming on Netflix on March 21 at 7pm (SGT) — yes, just hours after BTS drops Arirang.
That said, this event is going to be ticketed — more details will be released by Netflix at a later date. Updates to come!
BTS: THE RETURN DOCUMENTARY
Dropping on March 27, a documentary titled BTS: The Return will give the world an inside scoop on BTS’s creative process. Directed by Bao Nguyen, a major documentarist who directed Be Water and The Greatest Night in Pop, this BTS documentary follows the seven members (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook) on a behind-the-scenes glimpse into process of producing Arirang.
Their growth, changes, and reflections about who they’ve each become during their time apart — it’ll all be seen in this documentary. You’ll also get a peek of what they were up to in Los Angeles when they went away to make music together. It’s the perfect primer for Armys as the group embarks on their world tour in April 2026, in the week after.
