Catch Homegrown Indie Band Hanging Up The Moon At Neon Lights Singapore

What's heating up the music scene this November: Neon Lights Singapore, a music and arts festival that will feature homegrown acts alongside international stars like singer Damien Rice.

The team behind Hong Kong's popular Clockenflap Festival and Australia's Harvest Festival are taking over all of Fort Canning on November 28-29 with Neon Lights, the first ever multidisciplinary music and art event to come to Singapore.

Headlining the fest are Grammy-winning guitarist and producer Nile Rogers (responsible for hits that span Sister Sledge's 'We Are Family' to Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky') and Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice, who's back from a self-imposed exile with a critically-acclaimed new album My Favourite Faded Fantasy. Homegrown indie rock outfit Hanging Up The Moon - comprising veterans in the scene like Sean Lam (from Concave Scream) and Leslie Low (The Observatory) - will also be playing alongside these international acts.

Fringe activities include workshops, installations and Lit Up @ Neon, a spoken word series of events. But what we're looking forward most is the street art festival, where you can catch a special performance every night by a local sound, video or performance artist. More details to be revealed next month, so stay tuned. Early bird two-day passes ($189), child ($40) and youth ($50) tickets, www.neonlights.sg/tickets or www.sistic.com.sg
