Everything We Know About Hybe and Geffen’s New Girl Group So Far
A new global girl group is coming, and it’s going to be Katseye’s sister group.
By Lucy Lauron,
Two years after their debut, Katseye is getting a sister group: a four-piece girl group under the same label. The announcement was made just last week, when Geffen Records announced the group’s first member on their social media accounts. Not much is known about the group yet, but here are key information to know about the group’s members, their debut, and an upcoming survival show.
Who are the members of Hybe and Geffen’s new global girl group?
So far, only three members have been unveiled and all of them are ex-Pop Star Academy contestants: Emily Kelavos from the United States of America, Samara Siqueira from Brazil, and Lexie Levin from Sweden. All were unveiled on Geffen Record’s Instagram page. A fourth member has been hinted, however, she has yet to be revealed.
When will they be debuting?
While we don’t have an exact date yet, we do know that the group is slated to make their American debut in 2026 (according to this Instagram post).

Who will the fourth member be?
The short answer is: we don’t know. The long answer is: we’ll find out through another survival show. Similar to Katseye, the group will be assembled through a survival program, likely called Prelude: The Final Piece. While Pop Star Academy was about assembling the sextuplet Katseye, this show will focus on the search for the new group’s fourth and final member.
Auditions have been conducted throughout Japan since June 17, 2025 and are slated to continue until September 22, 2025 according to its official website. While there have been tonnes of internet speculation about a Japanese member, no preferences for specific nationalities have been explicitly stated so far.
What can we expect from Hybe and Geffen’s new survival show, Prelude: The Final Piece?
Similar to Pop Star Academy, the entire audition process will be streamed as a documentary. According to their official website, shortlisted auditionees will be flown out to Los Angeles, leading to speculations that the survival program will be filmed and conducted in the City of Angels.
What is Abema?
A Japanese streaming service that is collaborating with Hybe and Geffen to host auditions in Japan.
Can I still audition for Hybe x Geffen’s new global girl group?
Auditions (physical and online) are being held until September 22, 2025 according to its official website. While requirements for gender and age are clearly outlined, there are no mentions of preferences in nationality (there’s even a form for online auditions in English).
