5 Fashion Illustrators To Follow On Instagram Now

#1: Kelly Beeman

The New York-based artist begins her illustrating process by using simple black and white contour drawings of nudes, which she then turns into fully-rendered watercolour paintings. Above: her renditions of Altuzarra and Carolina Herrera's floral, feminine pieces.

#2: JaeSuk Kim

The Korean-born illustrator is best known for illustrations of stick-thin paper dolls (long legs, thin pouty lips and short hair) named Susu Girls. His signature style: Whimsical yet delicate details, as seen in these cut-out figures that reference Delpozo's sparkly, poufy creations and Rochas' colour-blocking looks.

#3: Meagan Morrison

Knowing how to draw is one thing. Being able to do it fast is another. New York-based illustrator Maegan Harrison aces both: While Jeremy Scott's "paper doll" models trotted out onstage, Harrison sketched the looks live backstage with just a piece of paper and set of marker pens. Her deft illustration techniques typically incorporate the heavy use of vibrant, feel-good colours.

#4: Alex Kim

It's no surprise to see that this 24-year-old fashion illustrator has close to 27,000 followers on Instagram. Her feed is a fun-loving moodboard of "faceless" yet recognisable celebrities, such as Gigi Hadid in her Tommy x Gigi collection and Barbadian songstress Rihanna in the girly pink ensemble she wore at her Fenty x Puma Spring/Summer 2017 show.

#5: Astrid Vos

The Dutch fashion illustrator is spontaneous yet accurately expressive in her art pieces. Having studied at the Fashion Academy in Arnhem, followed by a stint at international styling agency Promostyl in Paris for the next 13 years, her thick, bold strokes of these Gucci and Marc Jacob models have a comic book effect we're totally on board with.
