Female Picks Our Top 5 Fashionable Music Videos Of 2015

Music videos can rival any fashion campaign or short film these days. This year, pop culture got its fair dose of fashionable MTVs thanks to designer cameos, Inez and Vinoodh and some serious voguing. Here, our selection of the videos that were a feast for our ears and eyes.

#1: Glass & Patron by FKA Twigs

The dreamy and haunting landscape will remind you of a Tim Walker editorial or a throwback to the haunting Frozen video by Madonna back in 1998. While the bass-heavy sounds and subversive visuals (she gave birth to a bunch of dancers for crying out loud) are slightly unnerving, her badass style and sick voguing (skip to 2:15 for this) will keep you glued to your screens.

#2: Bitch I’m Madonna by Madonna

Just consider some of the A-list cameos in David LaChapelle-like colours: Alexander Wang, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Jon Kortajarena, Kanye West, et al. When your music video rivals the front row of a fashion show, it's more than enough to make it as one of this year's most awesome MTVs.

#3: WTF (Where They From) by Missy Elliot

Talk about making a comeback. Missy Elliot got us hook the moment she appeared in a sweatsuit made of glass shards with matching lipstick. Another strong look: the Roy Lichtenstein-inspired makeup. Then there is the lyrics of Pharell Williams. Think "Lyrically, I'm Optimus Prime".

#4: FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna, Kanye West & Paul McCartney

Fashion photographer couple Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin takes a simple and raw approach directing this music video. The black-and-white video, shot in a square format, is a sleek and refreshing style for Riri, dont'cha think?

#5: Bitch Better Have My Money by Rihanna

Who sits in a vintage LV trunk all bloodied counting cash? Wears fur in a pool? Rollls around in an Adam Selman tee and Dior vinyl boots? Then tops off all those fashion moments with Quentin Tarantino-style slasher action? The answer: Only Rihanna.
