Every one of the six Gen Z Singapore creatives in this story holds down multiple professions (including, for many of them, student); has launched at least one business largely on their own; and is only just getting started. JERMAINE HO OF PLOP APPARELS, 25
A popular TikTok content creator with 5.5 million likes, this business administration undergraduate founded Plop Apparels, a beloved brand among Gen-Z fashion enthusiasts known for parachute pants and cargo skirts. She launched the business while in polytechnic, expanded it into a trendy shophouse on Haji Lane in 2022, and is now branching out to a new space in the Kampong Glam area, with plans to expand her ready-to-wear collection.

BRENDAN MAYLE KOR OF THE PRODUCTION HOUSE CHUNKIE FILMHOUSE AND PHOTO STUDIO SAY CHUNKIE!, 27
This rising creative director and spatial designer isn't wasting any time with his artistic career. Fresh off a film degree at NTU's ADM, he's already co-founded two successful ventures: Chunkie Filmhouse, a production house working with top names like Dyson, and Say Chunkie!, a photo studio taking the younger generation by storm with its nostalgic 1980s vibes and playful props.

TANISHA KHAN OF SUNDAY PILATES CLUB AND HOUSE OF MON, 26
This successful commercial model (represented by Basic Models Management) is more than just a pretty face. Since 2016, she has ventured into lifestyle entrepreneurship with her brand House of Mon, offering chic, minimalist accessories. Her latest venture, Sunday Pilates Club, redefines the grip sock with understated luxury.

TRICIA TEONG OF ORBIT APPAREL, 21
This history undergraduate is making waves in Singapore's second-hand fashion scene with her business, Orbit Apparel. What began as a pandemic hobby has blossomed into a popular online venture known for its curated collections and commitment to social responsibility. Teong’s business not only reduces fashion waste but also supports humanitarian causes, donating up to 80 per cent of profits to organisations like Doctors Without Borders and the Singapore Red Cross.

DONNA CHUA OF EPIC, 22
By day, Donna Chua is a computer science student at Nanyang Technological University; by night, she runs Epic, a popular Y2K-inspired fashion label she founded during her final year of the International Baccalaureate. Its cult-favourite is the metallic bikinis and vintage-wash basics, while the sub-label Epicink offers matching temporary tattoos.

SARAH GOH OF AVOCAGOH, 24
A recent psychology graduate from Nanyang Technological University, she launched Avocagoh in 2019 while still a student. What began with childhood doodles of an anthropomorphic avocado has evolved into a thriving brand with kawaii characters, including stickers, plushies, and keychains. With a 20K-strong Instagram following and a diverse product range, Avocagoh also features in local and international art fairs.
