A Guide To Singapore’s Self-Photo Booths And Studios
Don’t know where to take cute photo booth pictures? Don’t worry, we got you covered.
By Saw Yone Yone,
Self-photo booths and studios are a quintessential part of youth culture in the 2020s. Is there any better way to memorialise a day out with friends?
Similar trends revolving around fun photos have been kicking around Singapore in the past, from Neoprints to Japanese purikura. The latest resurgence of the self-photo booth trend originates from South Korea. Many of the most popular photo booths in Singapore are either Korean brands or take inspiration from Korean trends. It also aligns with a larger popularisation of print photos in general, as the comeback of polaroid photos and scrapbooking would suggest. There’s just something special about holding a physical photograph in your hand, that serves as a tangible souvenir of cherished moments with your loved ones.
With so many of these photo booths around Singapore, we’ve compiled our best picks on where to frequent your next meet-up with friends.
