2000s babies will remember those evenings spent in front of the TV, turning on Disney Channel and hearing the iconic opening chords of The Best Of Both Worlds. It was the anthem of a generation and the soundtrack to the double life of Hannah Montana – the main character of the hit show that captivated teen audiences worldwide.
Well, here’s the good news – Hannah Montana (or should we say Miley Stewart) is officially making her comeback. Nearly two decades after the show first aired, pop icon Miley Cyrus is finally reprising her role as the double-life-wearing, wig-rocking Disney star Hannah Montana.
What can we expect from Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special
The much-anticipated Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special (or Hannahversary, as fans are calling it) will spotlight none other than Miley Cyrus, who will sit down for an exclusive, intimate interview with Alex Cooper – the host of the Call Her Daddy podcast.
In front of a live audience, Miley will take us behind the scenes of the making of Hannah Montana, diving into the magic of creating one of pop culture’s most defining characters and reflecting on the show’s lasting impact on fans worldwide.
But that’s not all. Fans will also be treated to never-before-seen archival footage, along with nostalgic recreations of some of the show’s most unforgettable sets – think Hannah’s legendary rotating closet and the Stewart family living room – and possibly even hear some classic Hannah Montana tracks.
Who’s starring in Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special
Joining Miley for guest appearances are her mother, Tish Cyrus, and her on-screen and real-life father, Billy Ray Cyrus – as they revisit some of the show’s most iconic recreated sets while reminiscing on its legacy.
While it’s still unclear if her co-stars will make an appearance in the special, Jason Earles, Emily Osment and Cody Linley, who play Miley’s onscreen brother, best friend and boyfriend respectively, have expressed their nostalgia and support on social media. We can only keep our fingers crossed for some surprise cameos when the show airs.
