Labubu, K-Pop Demon Hunters Thrill Fans At Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Honestly, we wish we were there for this historical moment!
Street festivities are oh-so fun, and this year’s 99th annual Macy’s Thanks Giving Day Parade which was held in Manhattan, ended outside Macy’s Herald Square. The parade thrilled thousands with its signature spectacle of floats, marching bands, and giant character balloons, including new additions like Labubu, Straw Hat “Luffy”, Buzz Lightyear, Mario, and Pac-Man. Honestly, it’s great to see more Asian pop culture getting love and the recognition it deserves!

The event featured appearances by numerous celebrities and artists. Notable performers included EJAY, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, the singers of Netflix’s hit series K-Pop Demon Hunters, Cynthia Erivo, Busta Rhymes, Ciara, Shaggy, Lil Jon, Jewel, Debbie Gibson, and Taylor Momsen. The coolest bit was when The Hangover and Crazy Rich Asians star Ken Jeong introduced the singers of K-Pop Demon Hunters on stage. Love!
The cast of the Broadway shows Ragtime and Buena Vista Social Club also performed. Approximately 8,000 participants and 5,000 volunteers helped bring the holiday tradition to life along the streets of New York City.
