This Is The NYE Party For The Indie Music Kids
We’re gonna be dancing into 2026 at *SCAPE’s annual youth-led music festival, where it’s underground sounds and good vibes only.

At *SCAPE, the party starts early—at two in the afternoon, to be exact. Away from the flashy countdown crowds, this gig is for those who prefer to get down to alternative tracks and underground artists all day long.
Featuring a stacked lineup of local and regional acts that should be on every indie connoisseur’s radar, Manifest: Music Day Out! is more than just a New Year’s Eve party; it is a full-scale music festival. Covering all bases, attendees can expect to immerse themselves in sounds that span a vast range of genres and sensibilities.

On the home front, expect to groove to ABANGSAPAU’s genre-bending hip-hop alongside bedroom-pop stalwarts Sobs, who bring their signature wistful lyrics and buoyant charm. Hardcore fans, there is something for you too: Mystique and Carpet Golf will be at the function to inject raw punk rock energy into the mix. Closing out the night is experimental duo TZECHAR, whose audiovisual set promises to be every bit as immersive, sonically chaotic, and delightfully strange as they are known for.

Regional acts bring even more depth to the programme, spotlighting some of the most exciting names from across Southeast Asia and beyond. From Thailand, DOOR PLANT will ease you into the afternoon with breezy, dreamy indie-pop vibes, while hardcore heavyweights Whispers bring some serious intensity to the stage.

Indonesia is also well-represented, with indie-rock favourites Reality Club set to deliver emotional anthems, experimental math-rock trio Hulica offering a genre-blurring set, and punk band Sukses Lancar Rejeki channelling their youthful, raw energy. Last but not least, Taiwanese post-punk lo-fi band Modern Cinema Master 當代電影大師 cut through with sharp rock anthems, while Malaysian rapper MOONGEKK brings his own flow to the table.

Because no music festival is complete without a bit of shopping and sipping, there is an on-site market featuring independent makers, as well as bar partners offering craft cocktails. For those looking to bring some good energy into the new year, there are even tarot and crystal readings—just in case you need a bit of spiritual guidance heading into 2026.
This year’s event is extra special, with an increased focus on spotlighting young talent and cultural exchange. It marks the launch of Music All Day Out!, a new initiative in partnership with ITE College Central that included workshops and talent incubators in the lead-up to the finale.
Most excitingly, the programme featured a Battle of the Bands, where winners earned the coveted opening slot on 31 December. This year, the title went to melodic hardcore outfit Light of the South, who will be kicking off the day.
Manifest: Music Day Out! takes place on December 31, 2025, from 2pm onwards at the *SCAPE Playspace and Ground Theatre, 2 Orchard Link. Get your tickets here.
