If Thai rapper Milli isn’t already on your radar – it’s high time to get with the programme.

The now 23-year-old artiste first made waves in 2020 with her debut single Phak Kon, and has only continued her rise since. Most recently, she turned heads on Korea’s biggest rap competition programme Show Me The Money 12, where she competed under Team Gray & Loco and finished fourth. Her trilingual performance of AEIOU ft. Loco and finale track MSG ft. Omega Sapien earned widespread praise online, while shining a spotlight on Thai culture at the same time.

With her star factor continuing to spread far beyond Thailand and the region, Milli is quickly cementing herself as one of Asia’s most exciting rap acts to watch out for.

Fresh off the show, Milli caught up with us to talk about her journey so far, the artistes she’d love to collaborate with next, and what she’s most excited for as she gears up for her upcoming Asia tour, which includes a stop in Singapore this November 2026.

What first sparked your interest in rap and made you want to pursue music as a career?

I’ve actually been auditioning a lot, but I never got accepted into anything until I auditioned for The Rapper Thailand Season 2. I took that as a sign that maybe rap was my thing, so I just kept going. The more I made music, the more I fell in love with it. And now, I’ve become an artiste.

Your stage looks have always been memorable. Do you have a go-to accessory you always wear when performing?

I have a handmade ring from my Korean friend.

Looking back at your time on Show Me The Money 12, what was your overall experience like, and what were some of the biggest challenges you faced?

I feel grateful to be in this season because everyone was so nice and cute. They might look tough, but they are cute in their own ways.

Shoutout to Show Me The Money 12 because it helped me get to know myself so much better. I challenged myself a lot throughout the competition because I treated every elimination round like it could be my last in the show. So every time I made it through, it felt like a huge achievement. I also made a lot of friends and learned a lot about their culture.

Out of all your performances on the show, which stage stands out as your favourite, and why?

That’s really hard. Maybe AEIOU ft. Loco, but Never ft. IIIBOI is great too. MSG is super mindblowing too. Oh my God, I can’t choose.

You’ve also had the opportunity to perform in Korea at Hiphopplaya Festival in 2023, as one of the only international artistes. How was your experience sharing the stage with Bibi?

On that day, I remember performing Mirror Mirror which featured Changbin, and I also rapped his parts. The video went viral because of my accent, with comments saying I sounded like a two-year-old. I was like, “Girl, I’m Thai.” But after appearing on Show Me The Money again rapping and speaking in Korean, public sentiments changed. Now, people are saying my accent is good.

I had a really great time that day and met a lot of people. I met Bobby from Ikon for the first time, and I met Bibi too, who is a lovely sister to me. When we shared the stage together, it was beautiful.

Is there an artiste or role model you’ve always looked up to throughout your career?

Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat. I look up to CL too. Mama, she’s like a big mama.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give your younger self?

Keep doing that, girl. You need to keep doing that, but learn from your mistakes. Milli, you’re always making the same kind of mistakes, and you’re always doing things too fast. So calm down. Still do what you want to do, but calm down. Think before you do or before you speak.

You’ll be holding your first-ever showcase in Singapore this November. Is there anything you’re especially excited about?

I’m super excited because it’s going to be my first time being in Singapore as an artiste performing my own Asia tour concert. I’m looking forward to that, and hope to see you guys soon.
