The Cool New Swarovski Art Installation You Have To See
The next time you head to the National Museum of Singapore, instead of looking down at your phone, look up - and you might just spot its latest permanent art installation, "Wings of a Rich Manoeuvre" by local artist Suzann Victor.
The National Museum of Singapore has commissioned local artist Suzann Victor to come up with its latest jaw-dropper - Wings of a Rich Manoeuvre. Consisting of several stainless steel wing-like frames, crystal specialist Swarovski supplied over 14,000 precision-cut crystals that dangle down beautifully from the frames for Victor's work.
The site-specific kinetic installation is located above the bridge on Level 2 (make your way to the back of the museum near the Food For Thought cafe). What that means is that the "chandeliers" swing like a metronome, with a total of eight different patterns that complete a cycle every 15 minutes.

What's cooler? The swinging patterns of the chandelier, which will be on display from 10am to 7pm daily, supposedly form abstract shapes of mythical creatures such as dragons and magical birds. The thousands of Swarovski crystals also mean that the natural light from the glass canopy above will be reflected with every movement.
