Is REKOOP Worth the Hype? We Tried Singapore’s Private Wellness Club
REKOOP is positioning itself as the future of self-care — here’s our review of what it’s really like to spend two hours inside.
By Reta Lee CW,
Let’s face it — we’re continuing our pursuit of better work-life balance and wellness in 2026.
According to Euromonitor’s 2026 Consumer Trends report, consumers are embracing high-tech, medically validated interventions as everyday tools to optimise longevity, appearance and daily performance. This means, most of us are using apps or devices to track their health like sleep, nutrition or exercise, among other metrics, and 35% are looking for new prevention or treatment methods because their current approach isn’t effective.
You might also be familiar with the term “biohacking,” popularised by tech CEO Bryan Johnson in Netflix’s The Man Who Wants to Live Forever, where he shares his blueprint for extending his lifespan through various methods.
All these insights and trends are actually fueling today’s consumers like yourself to take control proactively of your wellbeing. To familiarise myself with the cutting-edge technology on offer in the market today, I checked into REKOOP.
A private wellness hub, REKOOP is the brainchild of entrepreneur Yinon Vardi. It brings people together through chill talks and workshops led by holistic health experts — plus, members can bring friends along, making it just as much about vibes and community as it is about self-care. In a short chat, Vardi mentioned that his main mission when opening this club is to educate people on the usage of such wellness technologies. “We want people to feel something. We want people to leave the space with a good feeling. So that’s why we are doing our best to curate the right flow and the right sequence,” he said.
REKOOP’s wellness technologies and its benefits
I opted for a treatment mix of five different sessions, all lasting under two hours to get a sense of what these technologies have to offer: infrared sauna, red light therapy, lymphatic drainage therapy, cryotherapy, and oxygen therapy.
But as a first-time user, you’ll be led through a personalised quiz to find out about your wellness goals and lifestyle to get a customised protocol recommendation using an AI-powered matching system. There’s also a facial scan wellness analysis to determine your stress factor and get personalised wellness recommendations.
The Infrared Sauna room at REKOOP
After changing into a robe, I stepped inside the infrared sauna room and began the treatment. The main benefits of this treatment are detoxification and relieving body stress. It was a comfortable sweat sesh and the heat was not too overbearing. In fact, it was like a warm glow. My skin did feel clearer and cleaner; after all saunas help to unclog facial pores and help to flush out dirt and impurities.
The Lymphatic Drainage room.
Next up, I slipped into this cool sci-fi body suit for the lymphatic drainage treatment, which helps to activate the detox processes, thus reducing fluid retention for a revitalised body. To get into a relaxed mood, I was offered a pair of headphones with programmed mood playlists to help me settle into a more zen mindset. It worked as I almost fell asleep here.
The body suit applies gentle pressure to targeted areas, and stimulates lymphatic circulation to help reduce swelling, inflammation and fluid retention. This also aids the body’s natural processes especially lymphatic drainage.
The writer inside the Red Light Therapy Room.
The third treatment which is the red light therapy, was done in a separate room where panels are pointing towards a raised bed. There are a few functions you can choose from — including fat loss, better skin, joint pain, and sleep — and I opted for fat loss, though a few more sessions are needed to see better results. I wore provided glasses to help shield my eyes from the infrared light.
Definitely freezing inside the Cryotherapy chamber.
The cryotherapy treatment is the coolest and coldest therapy I’ve ever tried and this is why: the chamber exposes the human body to extremely cold, dry air (often -110°C to -190°C or lower). I managed a minute plus in before exiting, and then returning to complete another minute. Vardi shared that this is the best way of doing it: “Doing intervals is much better than doing one straight time. You will burn more calories as it will impact the body, much better. I’m always doing intervals; it’s actually the best way to do things.”
In a nutshell, the treatment may help alleviate acute or chronic pain by numbing the affected area and reducing inflammation. Generally, it is often used to manage sports injuries, arthritis, and muscle soreness. I definitely felt reenergised, with my system kicked into a quick overdrive.
The Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber.
My last treatment involves me stepping inside a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to begin the pressurised oxygen therapy. Inside, the machine blasts 100% pure oxygen in a pressurised environment, and this helps with increased oxygen delivery to the body tissues to reduce inflammation, soothe muscle soreness and even help with enhanced sleep quality.
Do REKOOP treatments work?
That night, after the treatments, I had a full night’s rest without waking up at odd hours. The next day, I was able to work through the day with a mental clarity and clear focus to finish my tasks. If I were to continue on with this programme, I would complement this with my cardio workouts to get that maximum effect and benefits.
And the best part is there are two REKOOP locations: the first main one at 18 Robinson Road, Level 4 and REKOOP Flex, which just opened at 108/110 Joo Chiat Road.
How much does it cost to join REKOOP?
The annual membership begins at S$2,000 and this includes 48 credits for any treatment. You’ll also have the option to top up more at discounted, volume-based rates.
At REKOOP Flex, the pay-per-session model is available. You’ll get pricing models like: Cryotherapy, S$90, Red Light Therapy, S$85, Sweat and Freeze, S$95 and Lymphatic Compression, S$40.
