What is World Scout: The Final Piece?
World Scout: The Final Piece is a Japanese survival show hosted to find a Japanese member to complete the line-up of Hybe x Geffen’s second global girl group. Similar to the survival show Dream Academy that formed Katseye, the main contestants were selected from a pool of approximately 14,000 applicants, 19 of which were then chosen to join the competition that aired on Japanese streaming platform Abema.
After 12 episodes, the show was narrowed down to two finalists: 19 year-old Kuwahara Ayana and 16 year-old Tobi Sakura. For the final round, both finalists had to perform an original song with the three existing members of the group.
