This Travel Guide Features Tips From Singapore's Biggest Artists
The City Book showcases Singapore through the eyes of eight local artists, and has a limited run of only 1,500 copies.
By ISABEL ONG,
Why, you ask, would any self-respecting local need a guide to Singapore? Well, when it comes filled with intriguing nuggets of information from top artists here, it's hard to say no. The City Book, which was launched last week by art and design studio Production Q, features each artist's personal journey of life in the little red dot through texts, images and anecdotes.
The book comes in a pale yellow hardcover, with an illustrated map highlighting all the places of interest mentioned in each narrative.
To tie in with the book launch, there's an ongoing exhibition (till Tuesday, Feb 21) at the SPRMRKT Daily cafe (#01-01, 41 Robertson Quay) at STPI - Creative Workshop & Gallery featuring works of the contributing artists: Dawn Ng, Robert Zhao, Sarah Choo Jing, Hilmi Johandi, Charles Lim, Genevieve Chua, Tang Ling Nah and Shubigi Rao.
