You Can Now Buy SingLit Books Using SG Culture Pass Credits At These Selected Bookstores
From now till December 31, 2028, around 1,500 SingLit Book titles will be eligible for purchase at bookshops in Singapore with SG Culture Pass credits.
As 2026 nudges us towards slower, more analog living, there’s no better time to put your digital devices down, and pick up a good book. For those looking to dive into more literature – other than your usual enemies-to-lovers romance books a la Heated Rivalry – here’s some exciting news: SingLit titles can now be purchased using your $100 SG Culture Pass credits at selected bookstores across Singapore. This means that you can essentially get them for free – provided you’re making an in-person purchase for physical, hard-copy books.

Singapore Literature, known as SingLit for short, is a category of literary works penned by Singaporean or Singapore-based authors, spanning everything from creative fiction to plays, poetry, children’s books, and short essays. As of March 2026, SG Culture Pass credits can be used till December 31, 2028 to purchase 1,500 of these titles in English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil at participating bookstores across Singapore – making it easier than ever to support homegrown voices. These books will be clearly marked for easy spotting.
Among participating names are a mix of local independent bookstores and larger chain bookshops, namely: Book Bar, City Book Room, Wardah Books, Woods in the Books, Kinokuniya, Popular Bookstore, Lingzi Warehouse Books Sale, Maha Yu Yi and Union Book Co. That’s nine bookstores and a total of 40 outlets islandwide to explore on your bookish adventures.
On top of that, you’ll also be able to use SG Culture Pass Credits on SingLit titles at the upcoming Singapore Chinese Book Fair from April 17 to 21, 2026, as well as the Asian Festival of Children’s Content Book Fair from May 21 to 24, 2026.
