From Stacked Store at IMBA Theatre to Beyond The Vines’ newest curated design library in New Bahru, there’s been no shortage of new curated retail stores popping up in Singapore over the past few months. Now, here’s another to put on your radar. French-Japanese label Topologie has finally landed in Singapore and its functional yet stylish accessories are what’s drawing crowds at its Jewel Changi Airport space, which will be open for a temporary period of one year.
Founded in 2018, this urban gorpcore-esque lifestyle brand is inspired by rock climbing gear, and boasts a range of utilitarian accessories like modular pouches, phone cases, tote bags and more, that are transformed into fashionable everyday pieces using rock climbing-style ropes. And no, they’re not the usual rugged ones you’re thinking of – Topologie’s straps are actually stylish. Think a huge variety of colours and materials including leather, macrame and puffy textures.
Now, here’s where it gets fun: Topologie’s customisable system allows you to mix and match however you want. Pick a product from their range of accessories and customise it by adding on a coloured strap, or two – perfect for when you wish to subtly switch things up. That’s not all, their straps also double up as unique bag charms that add a pop of colour, as well as connectors that hook mini pouches onto a larger bag.
At the Singapore pop-up, expect a range of items like totes, crossbodies, phone cases, mini pouches that can be customised with ropes of various materials and lengths, including wrist, shoulder and crossbody straps. And guess what, you can purchase two straps and get 20% off the second one in-stores now.
Topologie’s Singapore pop-up is open daily from 10am to 10pm and is located at 78 Airport Boulevard, Jewel Changi Airport, #01-K202, Singapore 819666. The pop-up is now open and will last till April 30, 2027.
