According to Gen Z youths and those born in the '90s, the 2000s have never died. One just needs to look at how Paris Hilton – the ultimate pop culture/style icon of the era – still manages to chalk up 17 million views for her This Is Paris documentary on YouTube.
Indeed, the decade was iconic in its own right for fuelling the culture of celebrity worship. But it was also an era that gave birth to plenty of memorable fashion moments.

It's hard to deny the parallels between the crop top trend we see on the runways of Off-White and Dolce & Gabbana for Fall/Winter 2020 and not think of a time when Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera were championing the style two decades ago.
How about the 'midriff flossing' trend that new generation labels like Christopher Esber are fuelling at the moment? This style, which involves skirts with tie fastenings around the waist, has fans like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner onboard flaunting their taut torsos. Now, that's a style that was quintessential Gwen Stefani circa her No Doubt days, isn't it?
