2nd Street Singapore: What To Expect From The Cult Japanese Thrift Store
Japan’s cult-favourite thrift chain 2nd Street lands in Singapore with over 23,000 pre-loved fashion finds, from vintage Louis Vuitton to $5 steals.
By Lucy Lauron,
Thrifters, rejoice. Japan’s cult-favourite resale giant, 2nd Street, is finally landing in Singapore—its first outlet opens on April 29 at 313@somerset, and yes, it’s worth the hype. With over 23,000 secondhand pieces flown in from Japan, the store is part curated fashion trove, part vintage treasure chest.
We got a first look inside, and the racks are stacked with everything from near-mint Doc Martens to vintage Louis Vuitton to rainbow-hued separates under $20. There’s a dedicated section for Japanese cult labels too—like Mystrada and Pink House—the kind of pieces that make you wonder why you ever paid full price. Prices start at just $5, and go up to $5,000 for covetable designer finds.
While every item is currently sourced from Japan, the brand has plans to build in more locally curated selections, meaning this might just become the destination for fashion-forward secondhand shopping in Singapore. Scroll on for the pieces that caught our eye at the media preview.
