When Dior takes over a city, it doesn’t just put on a fashion show. For its just-debuted Cruise 2026 collection, the house cracked open the gates of an 18th-century Roman estate, Villa Albani Torlonia, in the heart of Rome, for the very first time. Normally closed to the public, the villa - home to one of the world’s most storied collections of Greek and Roman antiques - became the site for creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest vision of radical femininity.

Chiuri channelled this collection - inspired by Rome's rich history with the world of cinema through silhouettes that felt lifted from a Renaissance fever dream. A procession of cream and ivory gowns floated down the runway, before giving way to deep crimson and black column velvet dresses. A black lace dress, regal but defiant, came armoured with a cream wool military-style coat with tails. Elsewhere, outerwear played the power card; a trench with peaked cape, a shrug-size motorcycle jacket, and cream tailcoats.

While the collection spoke through its designs, the front row, filled with Dior ambassadors and fashion favourites, made its own statement. Scroll on to see more.
