Japanese Fashion Brand Beams Is Opening Its Very First Singapore Boutique

The trendy lifestyle hub that is New Bahru is chock full of cool spots to explore; Other than cafes and bars, a whimsical bookstore, and plant specialist Soil Boy, it’s also where plenty of our favourite homegrown fashion brands reside. But here to shake up the scene is a Japanese cult-favourite that many of us should be familiar with: Beams.

Opening on April 28, 2026, the upcoming Beams boutique is a first for the brand in Singapore. At present, the select store’s existing presence on our island is limited to dedicated spaces within Lumine Singapore. With the new store, shoppers will be able to enjoy a wider range of fashion picks from Beams’ multiple lines (including Demi-Luxe Beams), as well as the other brands that it carries.

Beams first opened in Harajuku, Tokyo in 1967. 50 years on, and the fashion retailer specialising in elevated everyday wear now has close to 170 stores in Japan, as well as a few overseas outposts in places like Bangkok, China, and Taiwan. It’s high time Singapore got its own as well, and given that Japanese fashion brands are held in high regard by locals, this New Bahru opening is sure to draw in the crowds.

Beams Singapore will be stocked with both menswear and womenswear from its own ranges as anchors, while other labels will be featured on a rotational basis – so there’s always something new to check out.
