Relive the 2025 fashion moments that shook the internet.
By Pang Jia Wei and Reta Lee,
In the world of style, a “fashion moment” is more than just a well-coordinated outfit or a successful runway show; it is a point of cultural intersection where clothing, context, and visibility collide to create a lasting impact.
We look at some of the best fashion moments of 2025 you might’ve missed.
1. Alexander Skarsgard’s sexy-freaky look on the Pillon red carpet

Alexander Skarsgård’s “sexy-freaky” red carpet evolution reached its peak during the 2025 press tour for his BDSM biker drama, Pillion. Working with stylist Harry Lambert, Skarsgård traded traditional suits for high-octane “method dressing” that leaned heavily into leather and subversive silhouettes.
2. Naomi Osaka’s bedazzled Labubus

Naomi Osaka’s 2025 US Open run became as much about high fashion and pop culture as it was about tennis, thanks to her viral collection of “Lablingblings”—custom, bedazzled Labubu charms. Handcrafted by designer Kerin Rose Gold of A-Morir Studio, these rhinestone-encrusted monster dolls were worth roughly $495 each and featured over 3,000 hand-applied crystals.
3. Kendrick Lamar’s flared Celine jeans

Kendrick Lamar’s headlining performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in February 2025 became an instant fashion landmark, not for typical stage theatrics, but for a polarising pair of flared Celine jeans. Styled by Taylor McNeill, the rapper sported the “Marco” flared surf jeans—originally from Hedi Slimane’s women’s collection—which perfectly pooled over his Nike Air DT Max ‘96 sneakers.
The look was a masterclass in “elevated Y2K,” pairing the controversial denim with a custom Martine Rose varsity jacket embroidered with “Gloria” (a nod to his album GNX) and a $68,000 diamond Rahaminov brooch. This single appearance famously “broke” the fashion internet, causing a 412% spike in searches for flared jeans and officially crowning the silhouette as the must-have item of 2025.
4. Doja Cat’s 80s revival with her Vie album

Doja Cat’s 2025 release of her fifth studio album, Vie, marked a total sonic and sartorial pivot into a high-octane 80s revival. Ditching the gritty, abrasive aesthetics of the Scarlet era, she embraced a “retro-futurist pop” persona heavily inspired by icons like Grace Jones and Tina Turner. Throughout her Tour Ma Vie (including her Singapore stop) and major red carpet appearances, Doja leaned into the decade’s most dramatic codes: sculptural Balmain harlequin minis, zebra-print power suits with razor-sharp shoulder pads, and teased “hair metal” mullets.
5. Addison Rae’s tour looks

Addison Rae’s 2025 “The Addison Tour” solidified her transition from TikTok creator to a bona fide pop auteur, with a wardrobe that felt like a high-fashion fever dream of Y2K nostalgia and “naked dressing.” Working with stylist Danielle Goldberg, Rae championed a “sexy-messy” aesthetic, often performing in archival-inspired lingerie sets, neon garters, and custom Versace sequins that blurred the line between stage costume and burlesque art. Her most iconic look featured a white, Dorothy-from-Oz-inspired mini dress that she cheekily unzipped mid-show to reveal neon lingerie beneath—a move fans dubbed the “reveal of the year.”
6. Lisa Rinna at the Balenciaga Haute Couture show

At the Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2025/2026 Haute Couture show, Lisa Rinna solidified her status as a high-fashion provocateur with a look that was equal parts avant-garde and “Michelin Man” chic. Arriving for Demna’s final collection as creative director, the 61-year-old icon turned heads in a voluminous, inflated electric blue puffer gown that commanded the Avenue George V. However, the true “freaky” element was her hair: Rinna ditched her signature shag for a severe, jet-black bowl cut (crafted by hairstylist Johan Hellstrom) that made her nearly unrecognisable
