Here Are The Best Mascaras To Try If You've Got Short Asian Lashes
Bid goodbye to short, stumpy, and sparse lashes. Say hello to long and wispy eye fringes with these mascaras.

Short, straight, and droopy are some words commonly used to describe Asian lashes. It's no wonder eyelash extensions are so popular amongst Asian women. While eyelash extensions definitely have their pros (they last for weeks and you wake up to perfectly full lashes), they also come with some inconveniences. For example, you have to be meticulous when applying and removing eye makeup. Scratch that, you even have to be careful when doing something as basic as washing your face. So what’s a girl to do if she wants long, yet natural-looking lashes that comes off whenever she wants to? High-performance mascaras, of course.
With hundreds of mascaras flooding stores and websites, it can be an arduous process to find the one. For starters, Asian lashes tend to be shorter, so mascaras with larger brush applicators can be a tad bit challenging to control without smudging and smearing onto your lids. Pro tip: look for mascaras with smaller brush applicators if you tend to be intimidated by larger ones. A smaller applicator can make it easier to reach for those super tiny lashes at the inner and outer corners of your lashes.
In addition, Asian lashes can be sparse so if you want a fuller, more dramatic effect, look out for a volumising formula. Beginning as close to the roots as possible, apply mascara in a zig-zag motion to make sure that you coat your lashes with an optimum amount of product. Just remember to remove excess product from the brush or separate lashes with a lash comb to avoid clumps. Or you can even prep your lashes with a lash primer to thicken your natural lashes for maximum impact.
To give droopy lashes an added lift, be sure to curl your lashes with an eyelash curler. Start as close to the roots as possible without pinching or tugging at your lashes and gradually move your curler towards the ends of your lashes for a natural, rounded curl. Also, look out for mascaras that have a curved lash applicator as they help give pin-straight lashes an added lift. Or try those with unique polymers that lock in the curl of your lashes without weighing lashes down.
