New Asian Brand Calla Atelier Makes Girly, Floral Dresses With A Modern Edge

You might already look to Beyond The Vines and Collate The Label for chic, minimalist separates. Calla Atelier's pieces are all that, too - but with a girly, playful flair.

Co-founded by Indonesian fashion blogger Olivia Lazuardy, the brand launched its online store last month with a debut collection of work-friendly gear (bell-sleeved blousons, asymmetrical pencil skirts and maxi dresses) alongside an accessories line of printed scarves.

Lazuardy, who counts Australian social media star/blogger Nicole Warne and American fashion maven Chriselle Lim as her style inspirations, worked with Indonesian designer Krishandi Hartanto on a collection that comprises elegant, feminine silhouettes. Its tropical floral print is inspired by the calla lily flower and is splashed onto dresses, tops and coats, while colours are kept soft and understated (pale pink, white and beige dominate).
