Chanel’s Creation Studio kept it classic for the Fall Winter 2025 show, reminding us why the house’s signature touches are timeless.
A Giant Ribbon Snatched the Spotlight
The set, designed by Willo Perron, a renowned set designer, creative director, and scenographer, added an extra layer of brilliance to the show.
Ribbons have long been a cherished motif for Mademoiselle Chanel, becoming a signature design element woven through everything from ready-to-wear to jewellery collections like the iconic urban. But this season, Chanel decided to go bigger, bolder, and more dramatic. Scenographer Willo Perron was tasked with bringing this theme to life on an epic scale, and what emerged was a four-metre-wide ribbon that wrapped around the massive exhibition hall, twisting its way to an awe-inspiring 15-metre height.
House Signatures, But Make It Extra
With Matthieu Blazy set to take the reins next season, Chanel’s Creation Studio kept things chill, focusing less on the wild, conceptual stuff and more on the classic signatures we know and love – ribbons, pearls, and all the good stuff.
Bows, ribbons, pearls, and flowers were front and centre, making a major presence in ways that scream "I’m Chanel, and I’m fabulous." Bows popped up on collars, cuffs, and even ankle-length black down jackets paired with sweatpants. A white knitted ribbon wrapped around a black sweater, tying off with a bow so dramatic, it could've had its own spotlight.
Tulle Took the Dreaminess to Another Level
Layers of tulle kept things looking ethereal.
The ethereal vibes were absolutely on point. A champagne, black, or white tweed suit gets a surprising lift with a fluttery cape made of black or white illusion tulle. A black tulle blouse and skirt layered over an ecru trouser suit bring a soft elegance. A long shirt with puffed sleeves in white tulle drapes over an ecru jacket-dress, as if floating on air. With the sheer magic of tulle, the silhouettes seem to glide, creating a fluid, dreamy vibe that has us saying, “Oooh.”
