The Coach Play Singapore Shophouse Gets Spruced Up For Its First Anniversary
Since its inception last year, the Coach Play Singapore Shophouse on 5 Keong Saik Road has become a wonder emporium for fans of the American label. In collaboration with the brand, FEMALE explores what more you can expect here as part of its first-anniversary bash.
What can you accomplish in 365 days? For Coach, the passing of a year brings even more to swoon over. In celebration of the first-year anniversary of Coach Play Singapore Shophouse this month – the eye-catchingly pink shophouse in the trendy Keong Saik neighbourhood that was converted into a concept store – the American fashion house is now launching a Coach Tabby shop within the space.
As the name suggests, this launch aims to shine the spotlight on Coach’s crowd-favourite Tabby bag, which is distinguished by a tab-shape flap adorned with C-shaped metal clasp.
The Coach Play Singapore Shophouse offers visitors experiences from a pop-up store, a dedicated space for its Coachtopia circular brand, and an immersive virtual room spread across three storeys.
Beyond the rows of gorgeous bags, the shophouse will also continue to offer unique experiences for its visitors. Plus, with an in-house customisation bar and a cafe run by local nosh makers Brawn & Brains, a trip to the Coach Play Singapore Shophouse becomes more than just a shopping expedition.
The Coach Tabby Shop is splashed in canary yellow, with the walls bedecked in an oversized quilted motif that is often seen on the namesake bag designs.
As you step off the street – after snapping plenty of selfies in front of the bubblegum pink facade, of course – you’ll enter a room splashed in floor-to-ceiling canary yellow, this season’s signature colour. A special curation of archival and icon-status designs from the 1970s has been reimagined for customers. There is also a quilted Denim Tabby crafted from deadstock and pre-loved materials, as well as small leather goods and ready-to-wear pieces in the brand’s cheery daisy motif, which sees painterly petals stand out against black leather.
The merch at the Coach cafe comprises of items imprinted with a special 'Rexy’s Bites' print.
The return of the 'Rexy’s Bites' print – first seen at the launch of the Coach cafe last year – will also be exclusively available for a selection of styles including a roomy tote bag and a portfolio clutch. Grab a bag and a bite from the cafe’s diner-inspired menu while you’re at it. It’s business casual meets fun, just the way Coach likes it.
The Coachtopia store is located on the second floor of the Coach Play Singapore Shophouse.
Head to the second floor to explore the brand’s Coachtopia offshoot line, exclusively available at Coach Play Singapore Shophouse in Southeast Asia. For those unfamiliar, Coachtopia debuted last August as a platform for the brand to delve into circular craft, featuring designs such as upcrafted and upcycled bags, as well as unique creative collaborations.

As you wind upwards to the third floor of the shophouse, you’ll find yourself in the Immersive Room. Themed after 'Find Your Courage', it explores Coach’s ‘Courage to Be Real’ brand values, and invites you to explore the campaign that follows virtual model and influencer Imma on her journey to find her courage with the help of the brand’s friends like Camila Mendes, Lil Nas X, and Youngji Lee. Who would have thought that your new Coach purchase would come with a reason to pause for thought?
