Coach Restaurant Singapore Review: Classic NYC-Style Steaks, Cocktails And Comfort Nosh
The vibey restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport now also has a new Sunday Prime Rib tradition with tableside trolley service.
By Rachel Yohannan,
It’s easy to brush off a fashion eatery as a mere gimmick, because after all, how much would a purveyor of handbags and leather goods know about F&B? Pretty darn plenty, as it turns out – at least that’s how it goes at Singapore’s Coach Restaurant, which opened its doors not too long ago in 2025. With the luxury brand having roots in New York’s Manhattan district, it only makes sense that its affiliated restaurant serves up classic NYC flavours.
Hearing that it just started a weekly new Sunday Prime Rib service, we headed down to the Coach Restaurant at Jewel Changi – right next to the Coach boutique – for some hearty slabs and New York-style comfort nosh. Read our review below to see what we liked about it, and the must-try side dishes you can’t miss.

COACH RESTAURANT SINGAPORE REVIEW (2026)
Ambience at Coach Restaurant Singapore
The restaurant’s storefront might seem unassuming, but walk in and you’ll be charmed by the chic yet unfussy NYC-themed interiors. Scattered throughout are little Easter eggs that nod towards Coach’s origins: framed vintage posters featuring Coach bags, old black-and-white photographs of scenes of New York, and a curious-looking yellow cab wedged right into the ceiling.
Tip: For some natural light and views of the Forest Valley’s verdure outside, try requesting a window seat right at the back of the restaurant at point of reservation.
Food at Coach Restaurant Singapore: Sunday Prime Rib review
Taking inspiration from the steakhouses of NYC, the Coach Restaurant’s weekly Sunday Prime Rib special features personal trolley service. A massive prime rib, sourced in collaboration with premium local butchery Butcher Box, will be wheeled right to your table, and carved on the spot straight to your plate.
We had our prime rib served with mustard, but it tastes perfectly good on its own, thanks to its bourbon-smoked flavour. As with most dry-aged beef, it’s not as juicy as, say, a marbled wagyu steak, but it’s still pleasantly tender and not at all tough. Don’t be put off by how red the steak appears, because it’s far from gamey or raw-tasting.
Throw your diet plans out of the window – the best way to enjoy this would be to ensure you include a rich, creamy chunk of fat from the sides with each mouthful. Trust us when we say the calories are 100% worth it.
Creamed spinach
At $68 per person, each serving comes with your choice of two out of five side dishes: creamed spinach, smoked butter mashed potatoes, grilled kale and arugula salad, roasted root vegetables, and baked russet potato.
Can’t decide? We urge you to try the creamed spinach, which also exists on the a la carte menu. Even if you typically don’t enjoy vegetables, this dish might just be the one to change your mind. It’s served piping hot, with an egg in the middle for added texture.
Baked russet potato, with caviar add-on.
If you’re deliberating between the two potato items, we highly suggest going straight for the baked russet potato. Not only is it cooked in beef fat and topped with gruyere and cheddar cheese, it’s presented as a DIY tableside experience, where you can mix and match toppings like creme fraiche, crispy duck fat, shallots, chilli, and chives. Feeling fancy? Add on some caviar at $28.
Coach Restaurant Singapore’s sinful but delicious 20-layer chocolate cake.
By this time, you’re probably stuffed, but if you do happen to have space to spare for a dessert, the 20-layer chocolate cake ($18, a la carte) is a good sharing option – and yes, it really does have 20 layers, where cake is neatly alternated with fudge. Else, be sure to come back on another day to have it for teatime – this decadent treat alone is worth a trip down.
