When it comes to fashion merchandise with slogans, what is said and printed really matter. Seriously, get rid of those MAGA caps already. However, when the right message is emblazoned left, right and centre, it definitely drives home the point effectively. Our latest obsession with slogan merchandise comes in the form of a PSA for the anti-bullying movement that burgeoned last year. Called Be Cool Be Nice, this initiative aims to thwart cyberbullying that youths and children face.
The latest to join this battle are Canadian twins and designers Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared2 who created a capsule collection ($339-$1,189) for women, men and kids with the Be Cool Be Nice slogan plastered -- part of the sales will benefit the Be Cool Be Nice Foundation -- on everything from jeans, T-shirt, jumpers, sneakers, slides and accessories like caps and handphone covers. The collection which is now in stores, is a quite a personal project for the twins. According to a joint statement, they said: "We were bullied as kids and we understand how destructive it is. We designed the capsule with this idea in mind, we wanted to make clothes and accessories with an attitude of strength, confidence and positivity.”
