Emma Watson Overdoes Method Acting, Appears As Belle In Real Life
The Brit actress was a vision in a custom yellow Dior Haute Couture dress when she read Beauty and the Beast aloud at the New York Film Society for Kids event.

Almost literally embodying her star character in the upcoming Beauty and the Beast, Watson combined both of her most famous characters (Belle from Beauty and the Beast and Hermione from Harry Potter) when she made her appearance at the New York Film Society for Kids event last night.
Reading aloud from Beauty and the Beast to the audience (how very Hermione Granger of her), the Belle connection was instantly made with her yellow spaghetti-strapped backless dress - a modern update on the iconic tiered gown worn in the 1991 animated version.
A custom design by Dior's new creative directior Maria Grazia Chiuri, it's a tweak on one of the designs from the house's latest haute couture spring 2017 collection, in specific, the penultimate look:
While part of me wishes she'd donned the original version instead (total english rose look), Watson was there, after all, to promote Beauty and the Beast and what a lovely way to go about doing so.
What's even better? The Dior gown is reportedly made of Eco-age fabric, which falls in line with Watson's promotion of her own cause - environmental sustainability. Books and environmental sustainability? Watson's a girl after our own heart.
Check out how Watson's gown was made below in a video by Dior:
