Female Collective Member Trishna Goklani's London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 Diary

Most people would know London-based Female Collective member Trishna Goklani as the social media style-star-turned-champion of Singapore creatives based on the content she creates on her namesake Instagram profile. These days, though, the fashion journalism alumna of the London College of Fashion plays fashion godmother in her new role – as social media manager for emerging British leather goods brand Paradise Row. We roped in this London homegirl for the recent London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 shows and armed her with the latest Samsung Galaxy Z Flip to document all the sights and scenes that caught her eye.

"I teamed up with Female and Samsung for London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020, which happened from Feb 14 to Feb 18, documenting every moment from Rixo’s out-of-this-world presentation to Richard Quinn’s crystal embellished pearly Kings and Queens on the catwalk. This year, I ditched my heavy camera for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip to document the sequinned embellished dresses and colour combos that have ultimately convinced me, a total boring minimalist dresser, to walk on the wild side a little bit.

It was also refreshing to see the British Fashion Council’s determination to make fashion a better place, with their focus on their ‘Positive Fashion Initiative’ that celebrates the industry’s best practices and to also push future businesses to follow suit. Not only that, Mother Of Pearl’s Amy Powney also launched ‘Fashion Our Future’, a campaign that has been running on social media that encourages people to pledge to consume fashion differently. Though the four-day calendar of events were disrupted by the sudden arrival of Storm Dennis, It was clear that nothing will – and can ever – dampen the spirits of Londoners."
