Can An Empowering Wardrobe Look Soft And Pretty? Fendi Thinks So
Time to rethink womanly dressing.

If the noughties-era cartoon Powerpuff Girls about three crime-fighting kindergarten girls was one of the earliest symbols of female empowerment for many millennials, Fendi’s Fall/Winter 2020 could be seen as the collection for them – think tailored coats and dresses with womanly, nipped-in waists sporting voluptuous Juliet sleeves.
Key colours include warm neutrals, delightful pale pink, and the brand’s signature buttercup yellow, all meant to be worn monochrome – fuss-free yet commanding.
Even the Peekaboo tote comes with a liberating twist: interchangeable inside pockets that peep through the bag’s “deep smile”, switching up its look. Strength can look soft and pretty too. Just ask Blossom, Buttercup and Bubbles.
