Everything You Need To Know About The Fenty Puma By Rihanna F/W 17 Collection

Fenty's Creative Director together with sportswear giant, Puma, unveiled their hotly anticipated Fall/Winter 2017 collection for what seems to be the most rebellious, rogue and bad-ass one yet.

Unlike her previous Maria Antoinette-inspired collection, this season's debut saw a cool, rebellious school-girl take on high school uniforms, college sports attire and track suits with an obvious streetwear slant. In through Bad gal RiRi form, the newest collection took the fashion crowd back to their high school days with a defiant edge.

Has Rihanna gone for a totally new look from her last collection? Not really with streetwear aesthetics being the pillar of all collections. Here, the reasons why we are obsessed.

#1: The venue

53 looks graced the hallways atop library desks at the newly restored Bibliotheque Nationale de France - the Creative Director's interpretation of a Rihanna-meets-Hogwarts interior.

#2: The cover ups

From ballooning cropped puffer jackets to floor-length fur coats and tight-fitted ultra suede cover ups, these double XL outerwear pieces are a mainstay on the runway. Some were styled in an off shoulder a la Balenciaga's iconic aesthetic manner whilst others were either held on as an accessory or worn slouchily, showing off one side of a shoulder.

#3: The uniforms

Think school uniform chic with an edgier, more unruly appeal - RiRi's take on school uniforms were as bad-ass as it could get. Sexy schoolgirl skirts were altered to the shortest length possible, cheerleader style fashion corsets, varsity separates with Fenty University motif and knee length socks - Vetements anyone? Another pattern that reigned the runway was plaid - stamped on skirts, bombers, puffers and cute babydoll dresses that would even appeal to girly girls.

#4: The models

The ultimate nerd? Check. The cool skaters? Check. The jock wannabe? Check. The goth kids? Check. The bad gals? A definite check. The models that stomped down the runways each played different roles in school we are all familiar with - talk about childhood reminiscent, some even ripped up pages of books to portray the worst of students.

#5: The beauty looks

Yes, the clothes were kick-ass but the beauty looks were even better. Each look suited the charcacter every model played - from the pink spikey hair to dark, vampish nail colours, the makeup looks compliment the outfit perfectly.

#6: The accessories

Wacky accessories ruled the runways. From skateboards to books, RiRi was sure to keep the school vibes prevalent right down to the accessories. Our prediction? This teddy bear backpack will be a major sell-out.
