Fred Returns To Singapore After A Two-Year Absence

Chain jewellery may be all the rage right now for its flashy street cred, but before it became a symbol of cool and rebel chic, one fine jewellery house has been touting its style cred for decades.

Enter Fred, the 86-year-old Parisian Maison whose modus operandi is creating utilitarian designs influenced by everyday objects like rigging cables and nautical rope knots, as well as playing with modular designs.
Carpet adorned with sea foam motifs and console tables in green and aqua blue hark back to Fred's nautical roots.
If the name sounds familiar, that's because the LVMH-owned company called Singapore home since 2014 before making its exit from the local market around two years ago.

The brand is now back on our shores and recently opened its largest Southeast Asia flagship boutique at #B1-115 The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
Frescoes by artist Vincent Darres decorate the walls of the store's bridal corner and are inspired by Jean Cocteau's iconic Chapel of Love.
The almost 1,000 sq feet space boasts a strong Mediterranean influence, seen in the use of arches as well as frescoes that riff on Jean Cocteau's Chapel of Love that is located in Villefranche-sur-Mer in the French Riviera.
The inviting vibe of the space mirrors the relaxed elegance of Fred's collections which span fine jewellery, high jewellery and eyewear.
