Revamp Your Living Space With These Homeware Buys From Hermes And Celine

From an artsy, unexpected oversized bedding to luxurious oak and calfskin writing desks, here are Hermes and Celine's homeware buys you need to revamp your living space.

The Exhibition To Visit: Hermes “Through The Walls”

Any exhibition by the French maison is a fun, visual trip, but what makes this a miss-and-regret-it kind of experience? It’s a world’s first, happening Oct 7-29 across two floors of its Liat Towers flagship. The cooler part, though, is that it spotlights the brand’s homeware department that’s often overshadowed by its Lindys and Constances. Expect the likes of a vanity table-meets-scarf cabinet, arty wallpaper and Modernist-style crockery made from leather, all set against scenography by A-list set designers Jean-Christophe Vaillant and Herve Sauvage. Word has it that everything’s available for order, but even if they aren’t, there are still the free design talks and workshops.

The Collectible: Celine’s “Comforter” Blanket

Hands down one of the most humorous and unexpected pieces to have come from the usually practical Phoebe Philo: a nearly queen-sized (it measures 1.8m by 1.4m) spread that’s not only snug to the touch, but also emblazoned with listings right off a feel-good British diner menu (“Macaroni Cheese Beef Stew £3.99”, anyone?). Carried on the arms of a tuxedoed Liya Kebede on the runway as if it were an accessory, it’s as much art as it is fashion – as it is the tasteful sort of luxury designer bedding.
