Show Notes: Hermes Fall/Winter 2024 Womenswear Collection
The Hermes girl this season comes with a more sensual, almost punk-ish sensibility.
By Keng Yang Shuen,
When: March 2, 2024
Where: The show was staged at La Garde Republicaine in Paris, a location favoured by the maison in recent seasons and a space that's usually associated with equestrians - an apt choice, given that horses was one of the main themes of the Hermes Fall Winter 2024 collection.

The takeaway: Hermes creative director Nadege Vanhee started off with two images for this collection: horse-riding and motorcycling. The first is understandable enough - after all, the maison's legacy is entwined with equestrians.
This season however, the equestrian girl is swapping her horse saddle for a motorcycle seat - she's an urban girl who's feeling a bit dark and dangerous, if the body-hugging silhouette on many of the looks is an indicator (there are even what looks like leather version of long-johns).
Cropped tops and studded leather? Sign us up, Hermes.
It's a cold rainy night and she's out on her motorbike - she's well armoured against the elements with an array of supple trenchcoats and sexy studded biker jackets to choose from, and her feet are clad in pointy-toed cowboy kicks or knee-high moto boots. Plenty of zips abound - allowing for skirts to become more risque (or not, depending on one's preferences) and movement to be unencumbered.
Hermes' collectible of the season.
The looks we’re eyeing: Every single of the sexy studded pieces (subtly subversive is the name of the game), the sharp blouson jackets (looks 1, 5, 6, 12, 37, 50), the cropped cashmere tops that appeared on almost every look, the knee-high boots with side zips, and the cute waist pouches (looks 29, 31, 34).
